UD///M 06-10-2002, 01:36 PM 5HP or 5speed? Anyway you need to have the car level. Auto trans are usually checked with the engine running and the transmission hot. There should be a dipstick. If there isn't one then I don't know. Unless its is checked through a filler hole like on the manual tranny. If you don't get an answer here in a couple of days, call a dealer and ask them where/how to check your tranny. Then post the info here for us all to learn. pikachu 06-10-2002, 04:00 PM unfortunately, checking the level on an auto trans is retarded... there is no dipstick,,, the checking method relies on thermal expansion of the fluids... you have the heat up the fluid to an exact temperature and if the car has the right amount of fluid, the fluid should spill out of the fill hole. |
