I need an ECU for my 92 525i auto, M50 E34.
When I got the car it had a FRIED/melted Bosch 0 281 200 405. Will other ECU bosch numbers work? I found another 405 but the mechanic said that he had to 'jump' the wires for the #5 cylinder to get the injector to spray the proper amount of gas. He thinks that the ECU is bad. As usual, any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I think there was some kind of recall on that ECU in the past. I have in my Touring and it had another barcode on top of the original one and the PN was changed...
