My brother is deciding between these two exhausts. Which one is louder? Does anyone have any sound clips of the Hartge? Thanks.

I don't put stuff on my car for sound, I go for performance and quality. I checked into some reviews and found the AA had dyno tested improvements, good feedback, and quality fit and finish (without paying several grand).

And as a bonus, it sounds great full throttle (check audio clips on aatuning.com). My 2 cents.

While this is a good thing, keep in mind that an exhaust won't really give you that much noticeable gain in performance. Quality and weight however are extremely important. As for quality, Tubi is amazing. I don't know much about Hartge though. I've heard the AA exhaust is also an amazing piece. You ought to check out the Supersprint Race though. It sounds incredible and is one of the lightest. It'll give modest gains too. The only real gains to be had in an exhaust system are from systems like the Kreis-Sieg. Just my $.02. Thanks for the responses. My brother has researched many exhuasts and these are his two favorites. Being that both will yeild similar performance and similar weight, he is interested in which one is louder.

That was the info I had from 3 years ago, so things could have changed in that time.

I heard the exhaust in person many times over and didn't like the sound (IMO). Made the rasp much louder and it had a race bike sound. I know people who have bought, installed, uninstalled and sold cuz of the sound.

Again, just my opinion. If you can find someone who has it locally, I would encourage you to listen to it in person.

As for the TUBI, one of the best sounding. The build quality is top notch. They didn't make too many of these and the midpipes they made less. If i'm not mistaken the midpipe is numbered.

Yes i had the SS exhaust, and the Hartge. The Hartge was MUCH louder, and better sounding than the SS. Im not talking about the SS race, just the regular SS muffler. I also had the SS resonatorless midpipe..

YEs, Hartge is made by SS. But it's built to Hartge's specs.
