I upgraded from the OEM 18's to the OEM 19's on my late build 03. Recently, the tire pressure warning light (the red one) keeps coming on, I check the tires and they're all good, and i turn it on, only to have it come on again a few miles or so later. Why does it do that? Could the tires be low on air or something? They seem fine to me but I might go ad a little bit more to them (of course checking the PSI) what pressures do you guys keep them at? TIA!

Did you reset the system after you put on the new rims & tires? In the manual, the process describes how to reset the system (not just turn it on/off).

hmm no I didn't (I read that u just have to hold the button down after it turns on to reset it to the new setup, but I guess i'm wrong, gonna go reread it, doh!)

This is the correct resetting process, but my late build 2003 does the same thing. I've reset it a couple times, but now I'm just leaving it no. It's due in to the dealer this week, so I'm going to have them check this out. I'll let y'all know, but hopefully we can figure something out before then.

You aren't resetting it properly if it's coming right back on.

It may be the temperature changes lately in your area making the tire pressure sensor go off. Just a thought, it happens to me when the temp changes in a matter of 20 degrees over night. May just be in this horrible chicago weather we have

:( I feel dumb. Because this kept coming on so much even after I'd check tire pressures and make them equal, I didn't think it was the tires fault. After the last time it came on, I checked one of the tires, and it was off by a fairly large amount. So, mine is working properly; I was just ignorant.

The car's ignition must be turned to the on position, but the engine not running. Hold it until the yellow light comes on then let go and wait until it goes off.
