hey guys and gals......im takin care of this thread start i suppose.....anywayz.......just a reminder that our next MOFO meet is on April 30th here in OKC. jedz Motorsport OU group is having an exhibition thing as posted before...me n jed were thinkin that we could have the meet after the event. if anyone would like to show up early to the event, that would be great, that way we wouldnt have to wait on as many people to show up later on after = more time for pics/vids/cruise/eat as usual, we will have a meeting spot. the spot this time will be at the Lloyd Noble parking lot where the exhibition is held. jed can give better directions cuz he drives in norman a lot more..i could, but id rather hav him post it. if anyone would like to meet early, id say a good time would be between Noon and 2pm otherwise we will set the MOFO meeting time at 530pm. this way we still have plenty of light outside for day pics this time. i am also wanting to set up a vid shoot off of Lindsey street and I-35. i found a really nice lil road that is 4 lanes wide and twisty....we could set up the camera at the end of the road and have everyone drive...most likely some1 not driving would be the camera person. from then we could go eat somewhere in norman then cruise afterwards. we thought we could cruise thru 39th street. details on that later if we do that. uno the usual....its spontanious...... :buttrock

meet place: Lloyd Noble parking lot, Norman
meet time: early goers between 12 and 2, regular meet time 530pm
agenda: exhibition event for early goers, pics/videos, FOOD!!!!, then cruise

Starting to look questionable about the decals now, sorry guys. I leave tomorrow morning and won't be returning until next Thursday and I have yet to recieve the vinyl material to cut. I will do everything in my power to get these done and bring them with me on the 30th......

Hey Jed! I thought that was you! I like your ride as well. Everytime I see a Bimmer on the road I wonder if they're a forum member.
The tails are just Euro-Black/Clear. They are a "no-no" to some purists but I love them and they really make the back end stand out. I get a lot of nice compliments on them and people always ask if it's a new model because the tails look so different. But again, I know there are some who don't like anything messed with on a BMW and that's fine as well.

According to Jed Castles (meteorologist News 9, I believe), there is no chance of rain on Saturday. Apparently, Norman's City Council voted against it so we're clear for the meet.

as for now...the agenda is to meet at the exhibition.....then after everyone else meets there at the 530pm posted time for the meet......we will take pic and hopefully a video at this spot in norman i found...it has a 4 lane curved road....it should be nice to video all in one line driving.....then eat at any place in norman, then cruise 39th street......for now...thats the agenda...we can take pics again in the Sooner Garage by the stadium if needed...but i really think we should make that video of the cars on lindsey street and i 35 :buttrock

I drove by O'Connell's today on Lindsey Street and saw seven Dodge Vipers, including a new one with the latest body style. I'm sure it was their "viper meet", it made me wish I'd gotten to join you all last night. It just looks cool when there are so many of the same vehicle in one place, other than a car dealership, LOL!

cool cool. hey all i figured out what was wrong with the car today. i got the CEL read and it said Cylinder 2 missfire (that is what it felt like when driving). anyways i was curious so i took the spark plug out. anyways you know you usually have to give the plug wire a little tug before it pops off the spark plug... nope not mine. it came out with ease. pulled the spark plug out and the pronged end was fine. looked at the connection end and it looked funny. then i looked inside the wire connector and low and behold the tip of the plug that connects the wire and plug was broken off, stuck inside the wire connector. so what i am thinking is happening is that whenever i go over a bump or accelerate fast enough where the torque moves the motor hard, the connector moves/jumps breaking contact with the plug creating an open circuit. so essentially that is why the plug is missfiring. at least all i gave to do is by a new wire. grrrrrr...

well thankfully its not a major problem....motorwise....pluggs can be fixed with ease.....oh ya....STEVE UR EX IS GIGANTIC!!!!......and your lil bundle of joy is quite a character........anywayz.....good meet peeps..oh ya....the pics...ill try to email them tomorro...pm me ur address...but the pics are blurry....kinda like the camera shook...

nothign happened on 39th, but some dude called me out at a light and i reliased it was my old civic that i totaled and sold for dirt cheap, with swap and suspension, swap and suspension was over 3200. oh well. the civic looked good and will be seeing a turbo soon. but nothing to exciting happened out there.

there where cops left and right and every time we stopped to say good buy the cops came over and had some real whitty saying to get us to leave.

i only got called out once and it was some neck in a truck saying "get on it.... get-R-done!"

I'm going to throw out a date of 6-4-05 for the next meet in Tulsa. Mark your callenders or let me know if its a bad date. Like Anthony said, most of us from Tulsa will be gone on the weekend of the 18th so lets squeeze it in before then.

The new kart track should be ready by the first of June so we can rip it up on new pavement at the next meet!

Yeah! Game on! I think I will have two guys with me from work that wanted to take a look at it. Dave was going to come down until we figured out it must be the GT40 that the old owner of Rennsport use to own. He said he had already driven that car.... LUUCKYYYY (Napoleon style). We might be there a few minutes early out in the parking lot waiting, drooling, jumping around like kids on a sugar fix...... its just down the road from where I work.

Dave is a VP here at Lowrance and who I went to the INDY GP last year with. He will be with our group again this year so we all need to meet up when we get to Indy......

Maybe you will remember this old clunker.....

Thanks Patrick for the thoughtful words regarding my drawings. And no, I've never had any formal art education, unless you count art in elementary and highschool, which was pretty much just goofing off and getting an "A" for actually finishing a project, LOL! I've just drawn since the age of two and really experimented with many techniques before abandoning traditional pencil methods and finding my own ways to achieve believable textures/shadows.

And thank you MrDezyne, you should pick up a pencil again. I'd love to see your art!

id give anything to be able to draw real people.....that is my downfall in drawing.....WHEN i COULD draw in highschool....i drew anime and cartoons...now i cant draw anymore...been outta da cycle too long....poo

p.s. Here is my latest "work-in-progress". Only 3 days of work so far, just layering and shaping...It will be another week or two before it'll be finished. Basically, it's not finished if I can look at it and see any marks that resemble pencil in any way. Strange that I want my drawings NOT to look like drawings! :stickoutt I know this is off topic so if it gets deleted I understand.
