IMHO they need to ticket the people who hold up traffic in the far left lanes before they need to ticket speeders.

WI cops ticket if you do over 10 over period - I have learned that - It sucks but that is the way it is. I can't afford a ticket so I rarely go above 10 over.
From Menomonie to Madison, you can go a tad bit faster, but not much. There is still a risk, but lower - there are less cops.
The things that I have learned from driving in WI
1) I know how picky WI cops are, so I don't venture past 10 over.
2) Slowing down in front of the cop is plain stupid. They either have you or they don't. Breaking is prime indicator that you were speeding and sets you up, even if you were only going 5-10 over. Moral: As long as you are doing a reasonable speed, don't slam on the breakes in front of a cop.
There is the obvious - Ticket me Red is a bad color for speeding. A Porsche and an Accordski both traveling at 75 - the Porsche will most likely get pulled before the Accord.
Phantom did a great write up for running below radar, but I don't know if that thread is still around - I'll try to find it and post a link.

cool link, never seen it before. not sure how much good it would do against the undercover car dragnet they were using. i guess these were State highway patrolman, the only cops that can go into all the districts that the beltine passes through.

well i used the beltline twice today from john nolen all the way into middleton and then back home and along the way i saw 2 state partrol crusiers driving around, although i didn't see any white pickup truck.
near the gammon road exit (just past the overpast) there was a highway patrolman setting up to laser people. I drove past him as he aimed the laser out the window. I was going about 10 over, borderline if he would have lasered me:devillook
i honestly think the traffic was slower in general today.
but of course there is still the problems caused by driver's who camp out in the far left lane going the speed limit.
i even had to rightlane pass this moving truck/semi thing who was just ho humming along in the far left lane, with no traffic at all in the right lanes.
wtf people?
