Here's a nice E30 M3 that's been redone to it's original shape professionally. you have to see this car in person. it's nearly perfect (no bs). the engine runs like new and it sounds like new too. cold a/c. tight shifter with NO vibration. car turns with no loose feeling. salvaged title but like i said, it's been redone back into original specs. email at JSBenedetto@msn.com or contact the owner at (818) 645-1849. i'm selling this for a friend so contact him for further details. here's a link for pictures.

That's a shame.. beautiful car that will really never be worth much because of the title. I'd pay $7k. I'd pay twice that if it wasn't salvaged.

i know...title is title...but, we have another clean titled 89 M3 being dressed up right now...we're still deliberating as to what to sell (either this or the red one)...the red has 125,000 miles and it's flawless...we'll update you guys about it...but for now, its the gray one thats for sale...this car is clean...i know salvage is salvage...but i tell you, this one is done right...you gotta see this one to believe it...

Damn. I want one of these...

About a couple months ago I was looking to sell my car, put it up on autotrader.com and everything, just so I could get an E30 M3, but there just weren't any good ones for sale around here.

Good luck selling a beautiful car. Just curious, what was it that salvaged the car, specifically?

Ill give you $8.5k for the car assuming everything checks out. I live in Philadelphia so this would be quite a flight and drive home or ship home for me. I have cash in hand.

You can get tags with a salvage title. Salvage title is just to notify a potential buyer that the car was damaged at one point in its history. Salvage cars are somewhat hit and miss as far as quality goes. You could be getting a smoking deal on a car that was only slightly damaged and is super cheap just because of the title. Or you could get a piece of crap that was put back together half-assed. Or you could get something in between.

Salvage title means that the car was an insurance writeoff. It's usually from an accident, but could also be that it was stolen and not recovered until after insurance paid out.

Once repaired, you can apply for a rebuilt or reconstructed title.

Anyways, I hate to say it but $12kish is really quite steep for that car with a salvage title, I think some people have made some more than fair offers in here. Nice as it may appear to be, it still was totalled at one point and that does hit a car's value hard.

what's funny is the picture you posted was taken from my car, by my friends camera. I can vouch for how clean this car is, I never would have guessed it would have a salvage title. The paint looked incredibly clean, as does the interior. If I were buying I would probably be willing to pay more than the current offers that are being given, but I guess that's because I've seen the car and I know how good it looks.

Let me tell you the story of a 2000 Volvo S80 T6. I leased it brand new, when it was a few months old, it got hit in the RF fender, HARD and knocked into oncoming traffic where it was hit head on by an RX300.

Long story short, $28k damage was under the 75% Threshhold for totalling the car. The car sustained damage to every piece of front sheetmetal, the front frame rails, inner aprons, slight firewall damage, and there was 9 hours on the frame machine.

When the car was done I had a hard time even telling that it had been painted, such was the quality of the work and as a dealer, I am an expert at spotting paintwork. I had one of the best shops in the NYC area repair it and it looked perfect.

The car never drove quite right afterwards and never felt quite right. I would no longer let my mother drive it and I ended up breaking the lease early to get rid of it.

No matter how nice a car looks, you have no idea what happened to it. Period.

sup mini-bubba. i love your white e30 man (or your friend's)! damn, ur car is quick. i have pics of it cruising the 101 if you want it, i can email it to you. thanks for the photo bro! you all have a good point. i respect that. but one car can always be evaluated as to its funtionality and form. like i said, you have to see this car in person; drive it; inspect it; taste it; smell it; it will check out okay. im not too concerned about selling it quickly since i enjoy every bit of the car (knowing that everything on this car was done right) but you really have to check this car out for yourself. insurance companies go solely for the Kelly Blue Book value of any car regardless (as we all know, the blue book value of this car is like $4000 disregarding rareity and demand) so it would be very easy for insurance companies to say "the repair for this car would be more than the KBB Value of the entire car so lets just "total loss" it" and we all know that a minor bumper and side fender repair (with no frame damage whatsoever) and a complete paint job is so easy to tip off that balance....the entire cost of the repair btw is well over $8,000 (bumper, fender, headlights, grill, and top-class paint job) excluding the maintenance of the car....i dont mean to talk too much...hehehe...laters!!

I'll put it this way: We don't have "salvaged title" here in Portugal.

But if the car won't get more than 10k (or even 8k, like someone have said), then the best thing for your friend to do is to keep it, specially if the car is in good condition like said.

I know I wouldn't sell my E30 M3 (If I had one :rolleyes )

That all may be true, but without papers on the accident, we are all just speculating as to the extent, or lack thereof, of the damage.

i wouldn't sell it ever if i was you unless its at an auction 20 years from now. Your not going to get anything back that you put into it because of the title. Also , your selling the best m3 ever, there will never be another car like the e30 m3. Its a race car, the only reason bmw put them into production was so they would be in line with the regulations to go racing. Your driving a race car that was put into production!!!! Keep it, but with that said ill check back with you in 2months if you still have it :confused I have a 92gti that i am finishing up and im going to start looking for another e30 m3 at the end of the summer.

Nice car, shame it's got a dirty title. You'd be better off retagging that car with vin stickers from a clean titled car.

That's illegal so don't but..... :devillook <too appropriate.
