The K&N 57 has finally shipped, only it's known as the 63 Series Air Charger due to the lack of CARB cert. :redspot

It will revert back to the 57 once the CARB paperwork has been signed off. At this point (If you care) you can get the sticker from K&N.

Here's the 411, complete with install instructions. Woo Hoo!!! (http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=63-1115) :alright

Everyone... grab your credit cards. :buttrock

You can get 'em from:
Fox Performance (http://www.fox-performance.com/)
Vivid Racing (http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/) (Not on web site yet) You'll have to call.
Order from your local autoparts store.

18.65 hp? I want to see with and without same day, same car, no other mod Dynos. If its true great, but until then I am a non-believer.

What happened to the one that was supposed to be a stock-looking replacement for the OEM airbox?

I really hope this thing produces the 18hp. There has been so much speculation about it and anticipation on when it would be released, would really suck if it doesn't deliver. I hope it does...18hp for under $400 on an e46 M3 is insane.

Yup. Ordered mine today at www.modbargains.com. $248 shipped. Good price, but there is a caveat to this price. Modbargains don't actualy have it in stock. They say to give 3 to 4 days for processing. Since I'm in no rush, I don't mind the wait.

I'm not extremely worried about it not producing 18 RWHP. The price is way lower than any other CAI (except K&N Typhoon), and I like the way they replaced the accordian looking elbow piece with a smooth pipe.

Even if it only gives you half of what they claim, you can't beat the $/RWHP compared to what other M3 mods will cost you.

Oh, and did I mention that 2 M3's have been running prototypes of this CAI for over 6 mos. with absolutely NO stalling or rough idle problems. So you spend half as much money for something that won't make your car die.

Or a CSL-style airbox which alters harmonic frequency from the standard S54 airbox.

Wonder if the elbow piece would fit the AFE intake? If anyone orders the 57 who has the AFE, give it try. Likely to be the "ultimate" intake.
