Hello all , just a few more questions for all you gurus ..

We alighned my 93 325is yesterday and this is what we wound up with ,
Front strut hats loosened and knocked in to get -1.7 rf and -1.6 lf ( all we could get)
Front toe to - .01" out.
Rear camber ajusted down to -1.3 lr and -1.3 rr from -1.7
Rear toe came in at -.03" toe out , but was slightly offset at -.11" lr and .08 "rr. (will like rights more than left turns)
Now for my questions . First is this a good start ? I would like square up the rear my next alighnment ,but we didnt have the bmw toe tool . it looks to me like on the Hunter Machine that all that the tool does is move the trailing arm in or out to addjust the toe? Could I use a pry bar and loosen the mounts ? (Ala NASCAR)
Am i alowed to shim the rack to help with bump stear and ackremen in d stock? Any legal way to get more neg camber up front?

Also , this will be my first autocross on 15's and falken azensis ( im in a street tire class ). I was running upwards of 44 front and down to 36 in the rear with my 16 Discount Tire m+s's . I was thinking of starting at 40 all the way around ? Also i have been told that these tires will overheat easy , and that i should sprayy them off with water in between runs , is that a good idea?

Thanks all you Gurus. Its fun to be a roundy round guy , at these cheese and cracker races sometimes LOL. I say push, and they say What , OHH understeer . They say White Zinfindel ? and I say What, OHH , Bud please. I cant wait to take out my 67 camaro G-Machine when its done this summer and see the looks on their faces LOL

You're gonna want a little toe-in in the rear...toe-out may be downright scary on the street. All you do is loosen the trailing arm mount bolts and slide it with a pry bar. I've never seen a BMW toe tool to know what they do.

you can even move the arm with your hands usually

SPRAY SPRAY SPRAY THOSE TIRES!!!!

Sorry, but I thought that needed to really be set in. If you have a co-driver this is a neccessity. They DO turn to grease and you will have severe fun making the car dance. On cold days and in the rain they are great, but you will have to watch temps.

I cant tell you anything on the suspension setting, I am graduating college soon and wanna get a good DD and nice autoxer so Im thinking of a 330ci. We shall see how it turns out.

Thanks , we will try to get my desired toe the next time the allgh. machine is drug out . I knew it should be that easy . More legal front camber anyone ? Should i just use water to cool the tires ? And how about the pressures?

Which Azenis do you have? The new RT-615's aren't suppose to gearse up at all like the older ones.

It is an eccentric socket that fits over one of the trailing arm bolts. When you turn it the eccentric presses against the arm and moves it.

Really a major waste of money, as far as I can tell. You should be able to move the wheel by hand; if not that, a small prybar is more than adequate.
