Please give me directions on changing bulbs in 00 740i hi beam aka day time running lights I am going with xenon bulbs and need to know how to change them without messing up. Please help

Pretty sure the high beams in ALL E38s are halogen. A xenon D2S bulb will not work with out retrofitting HID hardware, IE, igniter, ballast ect. If you are planning to do the dual xenon mod let us know how it goes.

Directly behind the front of the hi-beam headlights (as seen from under the hood), you can see a black, plastic dome sitting sideways. There is a clip you pull up (or down, I can't recall, but it should be obvious) to let that dome drop down. Unplug the conncector, then the base of the bulb can be twisted 1/4 of a turn to take it out.
