Just thought I'd introduce myself to the '02 community, as I plan on spending alot of time here with questions and such. Name's Erik...although new to the Bimmer world, I love everything automotive and my '02 makes toy number 15 (well, I don't actually still have all 15, but you get the point). I've rebuilt and modded old hot rods, mini trucks, race cars, sports cars, karts, motorcycles, and just about anything else I was able to get my hands on. The 2002 has always had a special little place in my heart and you can bet, I'm a proud new daddy! Anyhow, I look forward to this project and perhaps meeting some fellow owners in the near future.

2nd!

I dig my 74 tii -- what a great ride. What shape is yours in? Got pics? Mine is in rolling restoration mode -- mostly just saving up for paint and body work + maybe one of Al Canucks fine carpet kits.

I'm sure you'll have a blast in that car

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll get pics up ASAP. It's not a lot to look at yet, but it'll get there. I'm planning on a mild restoration/customization in the next few months. Not that I don't plan on making it show worthy, but it'll be a driver for sure. It's a pretty solid car and everything's there, so it should be fairly straight forward. I'll keep everyone posted on Project Tii.
