I bought the M3 for the wife as a daily driver and for me on track weekends, hence I don't get to drive it much. I took it out to bed my track pads today, and notice that the Gear Indicator is always flashing. I don't remember it flashing, I thought it should be solid indicating my gear position.

Am I daft, or is this trying to tell me something? The owner's manual is typically useless in mentioning this in any way.

thanks for any insight!

Usually that means that either one of the doors, the trunk, or the hood is not fully closed. My guess is that it's the hood. Open the hood and then slam it shut. Hopefully that's all that's wrong.

Slammed the hood good this morning, and all is well in SMG land. My first track event with the M3 is this weekend, and I'd hate to go into it with a flaky SMG. Glad I have avoided the stealer!
