Thanks Skyler 333inlinesix 04-18-2005, 08:59 AM At the dealer, it can be anywhere between $1600-2200, but if you are buying from a dealer, you will get an extended warranty if it is Certified Pre Owned. ///M3ryder NY 04-18-2005, 09:09 AM Don't you have to be the original owner to extend the factory warranty though? 333inlinesix 04-18-2005, 09:51 AM Don't you have to be the original owner to extend the factory warranty though? Yes, he will not be able to extend it through the dealer, not sure about those "aftermarket" warranties. Uber M3 04-18-2005, 10:31 AM Anyone should be able to buy an extended warranty, whether they are the original ower or not. People buy used cars all the time and purchase an extended warranty. I know when I bought my 300ZX i purchased a 2yr/24K extended warranty. Granted I killed the warranty within 6 months. But I still bought the warranty. ///M3ryder NY 04-18-2005, 10:53 AM well, if you're purchasing from the dealer, etc...then yes, you can typically negotiate the extended warranty then. But if i buy from a private party, and i want to extend the BMW warranty (as if the car were a CPO), then as the second owner, i don't believe i can do that through BMW. I would have to use an aftermarket warranty co. |
