ebay has the entire set for $1200-ish. 2 bumpers and side skirts

It can be done. They share the same body structure (hence E39)

Of course you'll need to get some stuff like new fog lights.. etc

what about just the front bumper, would that line up with the stock side skirts? i wont really have $1200 + paint to blow off (im only 17). how much would the front bumper alone cost?

considering the m5s have the same sideskirts as you, i would say yes they would line up perfectly :stickoutt. I just bought a bare m5 front bumper that had two hairline cracks for $230 off ebay. I figured that since I'll need to repaint the bumper that I wouldn't mind getting one with minor cracks. Brand new, the m5 front bumper is ~$500.

yeah it's OEM. try "bmw m5" and look through the pages..that way you won't miss an auction that's oddly named.
