Guys, my car is dirty as fuck from driving up to Cornell last weekend... are there any good DIY car washes around here where I can get all of the bird/bug crap off my car?

I'm in Arlington specifically.

Cheers!

Hmmm... half mile from the mall, going which direction? Take the Springfield mall exit off of 95???

Where on this map (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=springfield,va&ll=38.775391,-77.173548&spn=0.015289,0.039312&hl=en) is it? That help? :D

Mr. Wash on Glebe before Route 50, if you don't get the coupons in the mail go to there website, you'll save $2-3.

I've driven past there but I thought THEY washed your car and it wasn't DIY? Maybe I didn't look too hard will have to check tomorrow.

Man, that would have been great. But I just called Mr.Wash, and they said that I cannot wash my own car.

Would any of you Arlington guys be interested in trying to work out a deal w/a gas station or shop? I wouldn't mind spending about $20 a month to wash my car.

Sorry I missed the 'DIY,' there isn't anything close to us...that's good. There is a gas station on the corner of Sycamore and Wilson (near 7 corners) that has a "high pressure washer" connected to the little air filling station. I contemplated using it once in the winter but it costs $5, which is insane.

Aw bummer! Definetly need to find a nice DIY carwash... I'd be interested in a place if we could arrange a group wash or something.

It's on commerce street right behind the dunkin donuts. I think its on brandon ave. right across the bridge coming from old keene mill/franconia rd on commerce (the bridge is on commerce). Here's the map link. I'm fairly sure this place has a DIY, but not totally. They do have the vacuum things though. 50 cents and you get a few minutes of high-powered sucking.

coming from the mall, go on loisdale rd. under the bridge to commerce st. Go over the bridge and it will be on your right behind the dunkin donuts.

coming from 95, take the springfield exit. Stay to the right, take the immediate exit on the right, and go through the little shopping center. When you get to commerce st, it should be on your left directly across the intersection.

Just watch out for the csl - commerce street locos. Stupid mexican crowd that drives ricers.

he's kidding. the CSL's really have that uberleet european-market only m3. thats why they're called the CSLs, nothing about their location. They just put honda shells on the m3s and a ton of "rice-like" appearance to make you think they're ricers. btw. wash your own car in your own driveway.

Oh yea I didn't notice the "DIY" comment. There are two DIY places in Manassas. There is a big one on the left about a mile after after you get into Prince William Co if your going Rt.28 South. The other is in the middle of Old Town Manassas, about 4 miles past the one I just described, but it's a little smaller. Both have vacuum's and all that good stuff.

Looking for something later at night, post 7ish though, hmmm. Might have to check out that Manassas shop.

Take I-66 West to Rt.28 South. About 5 miles down the road you will enter Prince William Co, the big DIY car-wash is directly behind EL TACO, which will be on the left at the intersection of the first 7-11 you see.

El Taco has go0d fo0d to0, and it's CHEAP. :alright

Sweet thanks man!

Any idea on hours, are they open late? Like to avoid rush hour traffic if I go during the week.

Anyone interested in doing a show & shine & drive sometime soon?

I'm pretty sure it's 24/7...could be wrong though. You should make it out to the meet on April 23rd- it's only another few miles down the road from there.
