Saturday on my way home from the autox I noticed my front passenger side turn signal was out. Went to autozone yesterday but they didn't have the bulb in stock, so I went to the stealer today and paid $12 for a $3 bulb. When I pulled the socket from the headlight housing I was surprised to find no bulb attached. Turns out the bulb had just come detached from the socket, probably from all that jarring on the skid pad. Pulled the headlight so I could get to the bulb that was hanging out in the housing and reattached it to the socket. It didn't feel like it was very tight in there though. Won't be surprised if it comes out again. You think BMWoA will take the bulb back? Anyone need a turn signal bulb?

You could try returning it but considering the time involved in returning it, you might as well just keep it until you need it.

---Eric well BMW of Arlington is all of 3 minutes from my apartment, so it's not that big a deal. The receptionist today was showing some cleavage too. I think she caught me looking. You're right though chances are some day I will need to replace a bulb so I might as well keep it.

99% of foreign numbered bulbs have American numbered equivalents. For example my rear turn signals are 7506s, which are just 1156s which are much cheaper. Its a 3$ bulb for 12$.

Return that overpriced thing. If you have so much money that you can be bothered to save $9, then I'd like a couple $10 bills if you don't mind. I'll even come pick them up in person!

Its a 3$ bulb for 12$. yeah when I went to autozone they pulled up the part number and it was $3 or so, but they were out of stock. The guy behind the counter said he used to work at BMW and if I went there I could get the bulb for $5, which turned into $12.

I'd return it if I was sure they'd take it back. I don't want to go down there (even if it is only 3 minutes from my apartment) just to be told I can't return it. Anyone know if they'll take returns on something like a light bulb?
