I am the second owner after I bought the car with 2Xk miles on it from a dealer. If you are a serious about this car, please do your research to get a general idea of the what the costs of the mods above are and then make me an offer. I am not desperate to sell this car and the only reason I am considering the sale is that I am being relocated to CA. If you are a CA resident, I will include shipping for free. All documentation will be provided. I will also consider a possible trade for a low mileage (<50k miles) good condition E39 M5 or E46 M3. You can contact me via PM or email to make an offer via the links under my username. The car was showcased in Performance BMW Magazine and here is a link to pics of the car (the HRE's are no longer available and pics were before GC Coilovers):

Bye bye Mini?

The Mini is for sale, but my 325 is gone and I need another BMW.

Congrats on finally selling the 325. I was interested, but I am poor :( . I wish you luck in getting this M3. It sounds incredible.

IF you can purchase Carlos's vehicle for $35K -- I would say go for it, if he wants more than that, which I think he wants around $40K for it IIRC unless he's come down on price, I would get my old car.

Carlos's is nice; but, with that type of power, you are going to tear shyt apart. I don't care what other people say. It's inevitable. I would try to get my old car -- dead reliable. Not enough power to cause too much damage, etc. More than enough to keep you happy.

I would try to offer Mike $26K for my car -- I think he would take it.

Thanks for the advise James. I spoke with Carlos and he'll take $35k and the car comes with all the extra parts. If he sells before I can grab it, your old car is next. I also spoke with Mike about it. Carlos' car with the 2:79 rear is not as violent in first gear.....I hope. I'll keep you posted buddy

Just be careful Juan ... do you REALLY want to put that kind of $$$ into a BMW M3. Not many people can afford it. The e36 is becoming older and thus, most people can't take a loan on it. Thus, you need a cash buyer.

I think your GT500 idea is better. Just save up money to mod the heck out of that. Just my two cents. There's a reason I got rid of mine -- and, in hindsight, it was a pretty smart decision.

$35k is an awful lot to put into an E36 M3, I agree.

I know it's a lot of money. I'm going down to Miami to meet with Carlos so that I can go over the car with a fine tooth comb. The way I rationalize it is
that I was willing to spend 32k on a mitsubishi Evo, why not for an M3 with practically everything new. I'm going into this with eyes wide open (I hope). If I buy this car, it will be in my possession for a very long time. Thanks guys for the objective advise.

Does this mean you are passing on the mustang thing you posted a while back? Can I get it? :)

if you do buy it, get rid of that mitsu turbo and drop in the new garret that is being offered. it'll completely change how the car behaves (for the better).

good luck with the purchase.

Juan - good luck with the purchase if you buy. One thing to remember I guess is that for 35k, you can probably pick up an 01 or 02 E46 M3. It just seems like a lot for an E36 even though it's turbo'd to hell and back.

Is that why you want another, preferably alpine white ;)

The Mustang is not out of the picture, but the Mini will have to be sacrified :(

He told me that with the Garrett turbo, I'll be over 500rwhp. I'm scared about that much power because I don't want to be breaking stuff. The good thing is that it will be with me in case I change my mind. How much they go for, do you know?
