Not really much to post about but work is boring. I went out for a drive saturday night and while cruising around 90 I passed a new Tiburon. He got held up by some cars as I made my way through the pack of cars and onto the open road ahead. I see his headlights in my mirror as he rapidly approaches. He is flying up on my right and I wait until he is at my side when I punch it in fourth. His momentum is halted and I quickly walk away up to 120ish.

I guess he never really had a chance. I would never buy one of those cars but I really like they way they look.

lol they dont' look bad, but they are pathetic. one of them tried to run my buddy Vio. Vio passed him in 3rd with his clutch pushed in, when the guy was getting on it. :)

So you matched his speed as he was flying? Nice. Those with the 2.7 V6 and 6 speed are not as gutless as the 4 bangers. And they came with Pilot Sports from the factory.

Flying, coming up fast, whatever...Yes not really worth the gas but when I commute a whopping one mile to and from work the only real driving I do is on the weekends. I try to drive as spirited as possible to make up for all the lost time during the week. Its almost never that anyone will even challenge me. A lot of nice cars around here but mostly old people driving them. Id like to get my ass beat at least from time to time just to have a little fun.

We could swap cars, and you could enforce my no-win policy. :dunno

Hey, I'm a newbie here, just looking around, I'm doing some research for a friend. Anyway, I have an 03 Tib V6, supercharged, auto, 250whp on a mustang dyno, and a 13.7@102 with no weight reduction and a full tank of gas in Miami during summer. Yeah I pretty much have to agree, stock the Tib is pretty weak lol, but it loves mods. 14whp from just a CAI. Hopefully I will be getting an E46 m3 in the next couple of months as I have had the Tib for about 3 years now. Btw: I am the first auto Tib to have a charger.

My buddy bought a fully loaded tib GT for like 19K out the door. The interior is very nice. I swear that it has leather seats, but it could be "pleather".

Like Hugo said, great tires from the factory,6-speed, and has a decent body style. He is really happy with it and said that it was quite a step-up from his 3000GT SL (I think that's the model...the N/A model).

For 19K, you really can't ask for more. Yeah, you can pick-up an SRT-4, but for a guy who doesn't really care about 1/4 mile times (my buddy), the tib is more than enough power for him.

Yeah, it is leather, but just a cheap leather, unless you take good care of it, it will crack and rip

14whp from an intake. *coughricermathcough* My little brother has an 03 Tib GT and we put an AEM intake on and he gained maybe 5hp. The interior is cramped like a coffin and the engine was held together by breadties and duct tape. I would NEVER own ANY hyundai.

My gf has an Accent. Cheap but reliable transportation. Perfect for a lease when you got two kids to haul around. Maintenance is easy too. Changed the plugs and air filter in like 4 minutes.

Myst, nice job modding yours. But why a slushbox? :nono

Ricer math? I can show you around 30 dyno charts. Please, I know what I am talking about. The air flow on the Tiburon is extremly restricted due to the laws in Korea. The air intake has been proven to make a bigger difference on a Tiburon then pretty much any other production car.

Why the slushbox? Well I didn't want it, but I lend my car to my parents every now and then, and they can't drive stick, and since they pay for it, it's their choice. Don't worry, the bimmer will be stick. Besides, the Tib's auto tranny has been proven to be much stronger then the 6-speed. We have reached over 400whp on the auto tranny and it is holding up fine. Here is some pics of the car.

The car looks a little bit different now but you get the idea.

Anyway, I will be browsing the forums, reading up on bimmers. You guys are welcome to come over to newtiburon.com, my name over there is myst, if you have any questions feel free as I will be asking questions over here.

With 266 whp you should hit 13.7 easy.

M3s with less whp than that hit high 13s.

I ran 13.5, and I'm probably not much higher than 214 rwhp.

A screwed Tiberon with ~250 whp should hit high 13s. :dunno Blown is better than juice.

Yeah I am sure I ran a 13.7 lol. I have the video if anyone want's to host it. No poopy here. I was the February COTM on Newtiburon.com if you want to go check it out. Any other doubters I would be happy to show the video too. Anyway, hopefully I will be the second V6 Tib in the 12's after my port and polish, dyno tune, and drag radials. After that I can get my M3, I had the mind set to be the first Tib in the 12's, but some car sponsored by next generation motorsports did it with 380whp. Hopefully I will be the first non-sponsored Tib in 12's. Here is my cardomain site if you guys want to see more pics.

Thats a nice set up you have Myst. Im not a big fan of the wheels. And with that HP you should be running a lot better than 13.7.

My friend has an '04 GT V6 and he is thinking about putting the supercharger on it.

Actualy Recarro or Sparco seats from what I understand. Or at least my buddy who drives one says that whats in there.

Yeah, I should be running better then 13.7, but FWD on a hot day doesn't help. Yeah, they were designed by Recaro, great seats, they hold really good, but the leather is cheap. Thats actually a HORRIBLE pic of the wheels, they are actually hyper black, here's a better pic of them, and thats my friend 325i in the background

here's my friends 325i, stock in that picture, a few mods since then, he's going more for appearance.

The tibs are sweet cars. My mom has a 2005 tib with exhaust, intake and headers and is now as fast as my 96 328.
