I'm tired of having no stereo in the e30, so I'm finally looking to getting rid of the mess of wires in my dashboard and putting a stereo in. I only have three requirements:
1. cheap
2. plays CDs and/or has a preamp input for an ipod
3. has one set of preamp outputs for my rear speakers hat were part of a more ambitious setup.

Hey, man. I'll sell you my Kenwood CD/MP3/Sirius ready headunit for $100. 3 preouts. I'm not sure that it has RCA inputs but you can play cd's loaded with MP3's.

Edit: It can support a CD changer, which means it has some kind of input.

i had one of those a few years ago in my jeep, it took a good amount of beating i really liked it alot! too bad i killed it with dust :(

Thanks anyway. I just ordered a Blaupunkt Montreal. Cheap, effective, and seems to match the interior of the e30 fairly well.
