I am in Marietta. Let me know. QuickRabbit 04-11-2005, 08:34 AM hey im down, Ive never used a clay bar before but i need a good wax. Im in dunwoody. BMRSEB 04-11-2005, 08:44 AM I might be in too... :cool therzdae 04-11-2005, 10:12 AM Clay bar is? Where ya located? tfab 04-11-2005, 12:10 PM I would be in but i cant wax my car for another month i think because it got painted a couple months back but I would be in for helping you guys out. Im located in Marietta too. AtlzDesiKhiladi 04-11-2005, 09:56 PM awesome....looks like we have ourselves a little meet. I've never used clay either so this will be a first for me too. As far as a place to meet, does someone havea place we could go, or does someone want to host it? My house is only big enough to have about 2-3 cars so I don't know how well that would work out. Also I'm assuming that we would need some shade to be doing all this? So let me know guys and we'll get something set up....thanks! jlruddy 04-12-2005, 11:22 AM I live in a townhouse, so no space for me; what about the carwash on Roswell Rd. up the street from Darwin`s, if nothing else. Friday afternoon works good for me right now. tfab 04-12-2005, 11:22 AM well i would have to check with my parents but they would probably be with everyone coming to my house. I can fit a good amount of cars in the driveway and two cars in teh garage so they can be in the shade. When does everyone want to do this? AtlzDesiKhiladi 04-12-2005, 04:47 PM well i would have to check with my parents but they would probably be with everyone coming to my house. I can fit a good amount of cars in the driveway and two cars in teh garage so they can be in the shade. When does everyone want to do this? check on that...and get back to us. We can definately still work in the sun, it's not that big of a problem. We can probably clay int he sun and wax in the shade to keep away form all the damn pollen. I'll go ahead and get a list started and we'll see how many people are interested... 1. Naveen 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Need to do the same to my new (to me) 540i. Just thought I would mention that a good option (besides the 3M bar mentioned in the link) is the one made by Clay Majic. You should be able to pick it up a PepBoys. Been a while since I clayed a car, but IIRC, the Mother's bar was also pretty good. Unless they have changed it since the last time I used it, I strongly recommend that you do NOT use the Meguire's clay bar. Had a tendency to crumble and stick to the car. Another thing is that you will not believe how SMOOOOOOOTH the car's paint will feel after you apply the clay bar. Verrrry, verry, nice. :) Good luck with it. It's really alot simpler than you would think. Keep us posted on how everything turns out! Later, Kelly B. Miknow 04-22-2005, 10:58 PM Heh, lemme get this started.
