View Full Version : No Kills, No nothing!!(rant)
RedRum77 04-10-2005, 02:37 AM What is wrong with this city?! When I lived in San Antonio TX u couldn't go 1 block without someone pulling up to u at a redlight reving their engine. I live in Columbia SC. I have 'just purchased' 95 M3. This thing is MEAN! I bought her in FEb and here I am in April and still no "kill stories" to write about. Tonight I drove around Columbia looking for a race. I felt like a bully who just learned karate and want to start a fight. I saw a RX-7, WRX, IS 300, and a 300GT and they were all going the wrong way. Opposite of me! I need to know what this ///M i got is made of. If someone here lives in Columbia and wants to help me out by racing, tell me the time and place and I'll be there. That is all.
Miguel

mkiv98 04-10-2005, 03:39 AM sorry to break it to you but you are probably not going to be able to kill a 3000GT VR4 or RX-7 without extensive mods.
your E36 M3 is NOT fast.

Are you joking?
Steiner 04-10-2005, 03:43 AM Fast is a relative term. Just read the Scion message boards. By all accounts the TC is now the end-all of import performance.
jhong321 04-10-2005, 03:45 AM if you come out here i would be happy to give you go :D

Andres 04-10-2005, 04:45 AM Fast is a relative term.
Very true.
Today I saw 2 lambos and 5 ferraris going in the opposite direction. Would have been so fun just to pace with them.
mkiv98 04-10-2005, 05:08 AM Are you joking?
no, im not. fast is relative.
watch the 3000GT put on an aftermarket downpipe and intake or some little bolt ons and destroy E36 M3s...
M3's got good power but they are by no means "fast" compared to what else is out there. well, unless youre talking about some of those M3s talked about in the FI forum
i could say my integra is fast...compared to honda civics maybe. but actually its pretty damn slow!
hnoppenberger 04-10-2005, 05:24 AM my 2.8 is fast, compared to my girlfriend camry VVTI
Steiner 04-10-2005, 11:41 AM My car is VERY fast compared to a fat kid on roller skates.
giterdone 04-10-2005, 12:10 PM Are you joking?
how fast do you think M3s are? RX-7 bone stock would beat M3s. THey are easily modded, and generally have a 100hp rule..........they can beat cars with 100more hp than it has. Because it is so damn light, and the power delivery is quick, and they are high revving.
VR4s can be made super fast, thanks to it also having twin turbos. If you hang on this board enough, you will learn that any vehicle with stock FI, can be easily tweeked to blow the doors off anything.
BMW///M3sdn 04-10-2005, 01:20 PM Yea, but the problem with the 3000gt is it's weight. But mod it and yes it can be fast, mod anything and it can be fast....
The 100hp rule, never heard that before.....Cool
Flawless 04-10-2005, 01:25 PM Your going to be in for a rude awakening once you start to race.

jhong321 04-10-2005, 03:03 PM i am up in the bayarea. i think we would have a good run with your 928. :D
comptechgsr 04-10-2005, 03:17 PM Look in the kills forum. Apparently fast is an m3 beating camry v6's and stock civic si's.
LOL
well his car is a 3.2l obd1 so that makes it a little faster than a stock 95 m3.. but its no 12 second car

yea, hate to break it to everyone, but we do not have drag cars :confused
our cars may be "fast", but they are (at the most) high 13's fast in the 1/4 stock.
giterdone is right about the FD's. i've got a vid of a 400 rwhp rx7 killing a 550 rwhp cobra from a roll b/c the FD's are soo freaking light. all teh cars mentioned stock (3kgt vr4, fd3s) can beat our cars stock. and when we're trying to do all the NA bolt-on mods possible to make that 250 rwhp & they just do BPU + & hit like 340 whp, its soo easy for them.

but if he didnt put in the 3.23 rear end, the car won't even be noticeably faster
sirtiger 04-10-2005, 03:27 PM r u waiting for a kill or u waiting to be killed? ;)
but if he didnt put in the 3.23 rear end, the car won't even be noticeably faster
I dunno I have an obd1 3.2 and I can easily outrun a highly modded 95 m3 as long as it doesnt have fi.
Max///M3 04-10-2005, 05:30 PM i think we would have a good run with your 928. :D
Absolutely.
But only if you get footage ;)

I think I better try now because when you get a new supercharger I won't have a chance :D I use to have a 86 928s loved the car but the mantanance at that time in my life was killing me.
RRdawho? 04-11-2005, 10:27 AM 80 degree, or a 180 degree?
180C you crazy? ;)
Stock on the E36 M3 is 88C, w/ fan delete, people recommend swapping to a 80C thermostat
