I went to my car after work yesterday and there was a fence laying across the damn hood. I prayed that nothing happened but after I took it off I saw scratches all over it. I Prayed they werent past the clear coat but yet again my prayers werent answered. There are atleast 50 white two inch scratches all over the hood and side fenders now. This happened at Tech Square so I called the fence company and they said they cant do jack shit. So on Monday Im gonna have to call Tech and the construction company and see if they can do anything - which I highly doubt.

Luckily there was no body damage but my hood and fenders need a complete respray. My Front bumper is still messed up from when someone backed into my car also so I have to do that also while im doing this. What sucks is that Im still paying the fines so I'll have to live with a scratched up car for a few months. I've tried so hard, just like most of you, to have a nice looking car and dumb shit keeps on happening to it...perhaps I'm a labrat to see if praying works or not.

if your car was legally parked you arent at fault for someone else's inability to control their belongings. i.e. their fence not being properly secured.

Should I ask a cop if what happened ligitmate to persue damages from the construction company and then re-enact the situation and file a police report? Good idea or bad idea?

A good paint job at a good price should be right around 1000 dollars.

Hood, front bumper, and fenders will run around 1500 or so.

How bad is it? I've scratched the hell out of my targa top a few times and I've got some very abrasive polish that works wonders. Let me know if you want me to give it a shot for free. I'm in buckhead. Bet I can make it look a lot better.

What constuction company? might know a few folks who could help out. Also, dont EVER park next to temporary constuction fence or any construction work of any type, the odds of accidents happening are about 1000% higher.
