Hey guys, I just made my final decision to attend UGA in the fall. I was wondering how many members we have up in that area or if there is anyone who actually goes to UGA. I was also looking for someone to go up and visit and to show my dad and I around the campus. I mean I know Athens well enough, but not the actual campus. So if somebody would shoot me a PM about that I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I'll be attending UGA next year as well.

I've been in the same delima as you and didn't know my way around at all, so I met up with a few friends one weekend and partied my ass off in Athens for the first time ever. Great town and great school.

I'd suggest going there with a friend or something, no parents, and check it out. Take the dad on the campus tour, but go off on your own to see what it's really like.

What HS are you in now? I go to Alpharetta High.

and even though I HATE UGA (sorry guys im just a Bama fan) Athens is deffiently a very cool place to live and enjoy youir college years. I'ld deffiently go back :buttrock

I go to Marietta High, not the best place in the world. I can't wait for next year, but I have already spent my fair share of time partying in Athens, I just gotta learn my way around campus. Anybody else?

Overall, my four years there were not that bad. I remember my friends and even myself back then complaining about the lack of decent looking girls compared to other schools (and the girls complained the same for guys), but of course that was the case since emory is such a small school and thus, u just wouldn't see as many.. but really, I think you'll like it.. the "emory bubble" which you'll come to hear is such a nice place to be in before u hit the real world.. when you're bored, there are always things to do bc of emory's prime location with virginia highlands, little five pts, midtown, downtown, and buckhead just around the corner.. but be prepared to shell out more dough than your UGA counterparts, alcohol up in Athens seemed a lot cheaper when I was up there.

And oh ya, u will see a lot bimmers at emory.. with most of them being driven by N.Y. JAPS..
