Just a friendly race between a friend of mine and his brand new M, he needs to learn to shift though so a rematch will be in order, and he plans to do some mods that he says will give him some HP.
We did a 1st gear roll and a 2nd gear roll. This is the vid for the 1st gear roll. The 2nd gear roll had same results.

Sorry for the poor quality of lighting but we usually pick dark spots to stay out of sight from the cops.

What mods on your FD?

Intakes (which are worthless), full 3inch and Petit ecu. At 12psi. I will be dynoing soon so I can get rid of the butt dyno numbers :D

Also this guy has only been driving the M for about a month so he still needs time to learn to shift better.

intake paired with ur 3 inch exhaust and ur pettit ecu with 12 psi should give u good numbers. u still have the stock y pipe? and u have a 3 inch cat or no"? u should be running mid-low 13's i would think. watch those apex seals though..haha

what has brought on this sudden immigration of RX-7 owners? I don't mind, I love FD's, but first it was FD Newbie and now you two. What made y'all come all of a sudden?

I am in the market for an M3, and someone on the RX7 forum suggested to check this website out. ;)

what forum you from? rx7club.net?

which M3s you looking for? e36 (95-99) or e46 (01-now)? The kills section will give you a bit of what they can do, butnot really.

please dont' tell me your going to give up your FD for an M3. M3 is great, but I woudln't want to give either one up for the other. :)

Go into the e36 M3 series section. At the top of the board, is a thread called Which e36 M3 to buy. That explains many differences. Only thing, do not believe all teh hype about a 95 being so much better. I have argued against that many time sin that thread. But it has plenty of reading, and common problems, and different options associated with the different years. But also just hanging out in that section for awhile, you will learn alot.

Who suggested you to come here, FDNewbie?

Thanks for the tip. I have already read that thread, and found it quite interesting. I would really like to get an e46, but i really don't want to pay more on top of the trade. I love my car but it has to go since it has become more impractical for me (now since i am engaged, and about to start a family), and therefore has to go for either a fun to drive four door, or a boring four door sedan. And i think i will rather have me a fun to drive four door than than the boring 4 door sedan.

pfffttt....your gonna trade your car in for something as trivial as a family? :stickoutt

But yeah I understand, well the e36 M3/4's are great cars. Performance and everything is identical to the M3/2, except it has 4 doors.
