Mid Ohio for 2 days is going to be $575, 1 day $325. He's also has a no-frills package which is less but that also includes no instructor (you have to have had 5 prior events with them to do no-frills). His events include a catered lunch.

Things to keep in mind: TQ only has 3 run groups, most schools have 5. Yes, it's a little more money than other MidOhio track days but you'll get at least double the track time. PCA or BMW CCA events at MidOhio are typically $360-380 and about 2.5 hours of track time. Also you typically see 120-150 cars at other events. His are more like 40-50 so that means a lot less traffic on track and a lot more clean laps. You will not be disappointed. This also means you'll use more tires & brakes than a typical track weekend, so plan accordingly.

The online registration for MidOhio is open now.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you sign up.

It's a Monday/Tues event but 1 of the days is a work holiday, so for most everyone so you'll only need 1 vacation day to do both days.

I ran at that event last year. :buttrock

I am kinda torn. I want to go to mid-ohio, and was thinking about doing BMWCCA, but the more I think about it, I may just go Tracquest again. Its expensive, but if I am going to devote alot of time and money going to a HPDE, I want lots of seat time.

I just signed up too. I've heard nothing but good things about these events. I'm not sure if signing up for the beginners group was the right move for me as I've got a decent amount of solo II experience and I've actually done 1 race school and 2 trackdays at mid Ohio on my bike (GSXR-1000) but never in a car...figured I'd error on the side of safe and make sure I was ready for the intermediate group before moving up.

I decided not to go. I want to, but I just put that money into suspension stuff, because it was really holding me back at auto-x.

I would say start out in the slow group if you aren't sure. Todd was pretty flexible last year. The only big difference in rules between slow and medium is passing in the corners. For me, I would just want an instructor in the car all the time to learn as much as possible.
