Start with Formula One. BMW supplies engines to the Williams Team. That is usually every other weekend (not this one), and it is usually on Speed Channel, except for Monaco (last week) and probably the US Grand Prix in Indy. Also watch anything that is Touring Car. Sometimes a BMW shows up in that. We are not in the ALMS, but you may want to watch the series, because we will probably make a return next year in the GT category. We won last year, but the car was not able to return because of some political garbage that forced BMW to pull out. Not much fun to watch this year, as Porsche rules the class. The ACO (the ruling body for LeMans and ALMS) will make some changes for next year so there is more interesting racing, if they know what is good for them!

Ya - Speedvision is now Speed Channel (Fox bought it, and it isn't nearly as good as it used to be (NASCAR, NASCAR, NASCAR). Fox has a big stake in NASCAR, so there is lots of that there.

Try www.f1.com and www.bmwusa.com under motorsports. Good starting places.

The best way to follow BMW's that look like the cars you dive on the street is the Speed Touring Car Series. The races are shown on the Speed Channel (nee Speedvision)

www.world-challenge.com
www.speedtv.com

and try for more road racing info:
www.theracesite.com

F1 is all fine and good, but they cars share nothing in common with anything that you will ever see on the street. All F1 races are on Speed Channel, except for Monaco, Canada, and Indy, which are on ABC. Champ Car is still a great series as well. That series is shown on CBS and Speed Channel.

ALMS is still the best series in the world, even though there are no BMW's this year.

www.americanlemansseries.com (I think...)

All of the above has been well covered :)

But seriously, if you just want to follow a particular type. NASCAR would be by FAR the easiest to follow, I mean, it's because it's covered on pretty much all of the major networks except MTV  I even watch some of the bigger races, like Daytona or Talladega (fast ones)...not too proud to admit it though...

F1 is my favorite though, gotta love Team Williams...and Jacques Villenueve is my fav. driver :)

Fun stuff...;)
