I just got a 320i given to me not running or driving. i have gotten the car running but i have no clutch. the car has been sitting for a while but the system is rather different from what i am used to and i havent found a manual yet... anything common here (car has a m10 if that helps) also how much power can this drivetrain handle? also what kind of mods should i be looking to get for this car in the suspension and brake area? the previous owner may have a complete turbo setup for this car so i don't think power will be much of a problem. And how much can be interchanged between e30s e36s and e21s? And for my last question what can i do to get rid of the large bumpers that are on the car now?

for the bumpers, you can either get euro bumpers, which can be expensive, or just take yours off and do what some of the guys here did, ask them how they did it, I'm sure they'll be happy to tell you

p.s. I also have a 320i that doesn't run

Get it running well before you worry about modifications. For the clutch you will likely need a new master cylinder and slave cylinder, moisture in the system screws them up but you may be able to get away with disassembling them, cleaning them up well and fresh fluid.

For the bumpers do a "tuck". I can hook you up with the required mounts or you can drill the shocks (be careful, they are pressurized!) and compress them if you don't want them ALL the way in. Check my website at www.e21motorsports.com/kendanielson and look at my '82 320is pages to see what it looks like tucked to the sheetmetal. I will have fresh pics of my '78 before and after profiles today.

Be wary of the turbo kit, they were built over 20 years ago and unless it has never been run the turbo is likely worn out and need rebuilt, some turbos used back then no longer have parts avialable.
