This product has been out for a long time.
The Dyno numbers are on the site - take a look there.
It's under Engine/Software:)

Your web site says:
"Shark Injector - All Models - SELECT YOURS
[UMNSHARK] $248.95"
When I try to order online for my Z3 3.0 it prices at $326.

Whats up?

For automatic 328is with intake/exhaust/Sharkinjector was 171rwhp/181lbft and topped out at 172mph on the dyno.

Kind of confused on this one, the site says its $248.95 but EVERY offering listed has like $99 add which makes it the same price as everyone else, if thats right then why does the add on the pages say $248.95 when none of them are that price.
Am I missing something?

thanks for all the orders:)

I'm still getting the +$99 on to my order for an E46 M3. I have a Carbonio intake, pullies and ACS exhaust - should I experience any gain? Supposedly, the stock ECU adjusts to the aftermarket parts also . . . yes?

umnitza
04-06-2005, 06:21 PM
That's because your car is not the $249 price:)
Sorry, you should expect decent gains.

Im pretty sure its 249 for all cars including the e36 M3, but that price excludes those at the bottom of the page where the available options drop down menu is... If this is true Im going to order one today for my s52 M roadster, im on the east coast so I will have to wait till 1pm my time to call so that they will be open. I will post after i order and let you know for sure.

If its $250 I'm there but I'm pretty sure nobody was selling the SI for much under $350, the chips for obd 1 cars are $250.
I hope I'm wrong though.

Very true, I already had one ordered, the salesman told me it was 249, he even called over to another office to make sure on the price and then called me back to confirm the price and thats when i placed my order... well a little bit later i got another call saying there was mistake with the price the salesperson told me and they couldnt give it to me for the already agreed upon price of 249... A stand up company would have ate it and sold it to me at the price i ordered it at , but hey i guess they do business different at this company. Needless to say i wont be purchasing anything from them in the future and will not reccomend them.

I don't say this kind of thing very often, espescially to long time sponsors/suppliers in the BMW community, but the pricing and advertising is misleading. The $249 price is pretty much just for the chips, which is what everyone charges for Conforti chips if I remember correctly. The price for the Shark Injuector is $349, again, about as much as everyone else charges for it.
I just got a newsletter from Umnitza in my e-mails this morning advertising the Shark Injector starting at $249. The Shark Injector starts at $349, the Conforti chips are $249, this should be changed on the adds and in the website. Its almost purposely misleading in my opinion.
No hating on Umnitza as I have bought from them before and will likely do so again.

This makes no sense.
Just because the salesman didn't have the price sheet in front of him and was under the impression you had an OBD I car - which is what he conveyed to me - then we should eat $110+ in costs?

So, either you want a company to support you or not. Companies do not stay in business by selling at WAY BELOW COST.

Sorry.

The site is not misleading. If you choose the model in the drop down menu, you get the price you are supposed to get.

It's not like someone is calling you after you placed the order on the web site and telling you oops, let's have you pay more.

You were called and asked if you still wanted to proceed. You chose not to, end of story.

even nowadays big companies like dell, staples, etc. if there is a price mistake they would not honor it... ur just mad that u cant be gettin it at a crazy discount :eyecrazy

In the days where margins are razor thin, service expectations are sky high, and product quality is expected at any price point, it's become very difficult for any company to honor mistakes in prices.

What's more...we never even charged the customer - we immediately called them to ensure we didn't make a mistake <-- THAT is good service in any language or situation.

Agreed, thats my whole point in this. The shark injectors are $349, the Conforti chips (a different product all together) is $249.
The website should be changed, it was appearantly misleading enough that one of the employees screwed it up when the guy ordered it, as I'm sure he was told what the model of the car he was ordering it for.

umnitza
04-08-2005, 05:06 PM
it's stated on the page what prices there are and for which models and which ECU, you just have to click on the image.

Furthermore, the employee didn't screw it up, he didn't have the price list in front of him because we've been moving. So he quoted a chip price and not a Shark price.

this may be a dumb question:

will a shark injector tie all mods together?

example:
my little bros car-
96' 328i with headers, m50 mf, s52 cams, cai, stromung exhaust and uuc pulleys.
will the shark be enough or will he need custom software configured for each mod?

I bought a conforti cai with the shark and it was supposedly programmed with the cai. can you 'tune' the shark for all mods?
