Another inspirational picture of our customer's setup. It's a Mustang 05GT shift boot in two version of RED and BLACK two-tone with QUADRUPLE thread: CONTRASTING (red stitch on black panels and black stitch on red ones) and an additional row of outside SILVER thread. It's a great combo for that car, which is a red 05GT with aluminum accents in it's normally black interior. The leather ties the dominant interior color together with the exterior, and the thread matches the aluminum accents.

The first version is left side black, right side red, the second one is alternating.

Another month has almost passed by, so here's another discount code, with a new color suggestion.

I was actually surprised when I saw these after I picked them up from my seamstress. It looks awesome in my opinion - much better than I expected it to.

This is SIERRA/BROWN two-tone and I believe it would be a great match for those interiors that have wood or woodgrain inserts. Replace sierra with black or charcoal (whatever will match your seats) and if you have wood inserts, the boots are going to really enhance the wood theme!

Some important news and updated regarding the RedlineGoods color selection!

We have added PERFORATED LEATHERS to our color collection. So far perforated black and red are available (pictures below), most popular colors will be available in perforated leathers as well (blue, charcoal, sierra, beige, light gray, medium gray and more!).

We are also introducing FORREST GREEN very soon, as well as a line of ALCANTARA to complement or offering. Alcantara will be available in black, red, medium blue, beige and cream). We'll post pictures in a few days.

These pics try to show the difference between our regular black and red and the perforated ones. Hope you like them, but honestly, they don't even get close to doing these leathers justice, the perforation is very even and the holes are the size of a small needle - VERY nice and will definitely add a more sporty look to the interior!

The problem with such a design is that it would be extremely hard to put together due to the fact how thick our leathers are. With a thin material such as vinyl, it's much easier. But if you really want it and are willing to pay a small premium for it, please PM me and we'll try to make them for you.

we could do it of course, we would need a stock armrest to use as a template (and we'd give you the armrest cover for free if you let us use you as a guinea-pig :D). We don't have any light-blue leather though, so it would be hard to make the M-strip with leather, it would have to be done with threads...

1. The stitching on the e36 shift boot looks odd without some kind of stitching coming down the middle of the rear portion of the shifter. Kind of hard to explain but there are two stitches coming from the engine side of the car. Would it be possible to put one stitch down the middle of the trunk side?

Last but not least, this pic. May appear simple. But those of you who know cars can tell that the no automatic Camaros had a shift boot from the factory, you could see those moving plastic shards around the shift lever. So our shift boot is a completely unique product. Note that those cars had no ebrake boot either - just an ugly metal lever visible under that ebrake handle!

You get just the samples of leather, however we can deliver sample threads as well (please just mention so in the comments field and there is no charge for that). Piping is just folded leather, basically, so once you have the leathers you can pretty much see what the piping will look like. :)

We can put the M-stitching on any leather you want. And yes, to install them you need to cut the stock piece off the mounting frame and glue our boot on there instead.

Yes, you can, actually. Just please write a comment that you want a 4-panel shift boot and send us the measurement of the rear edge of the center console opening (so that we know how to cut up the bigger panel into 3 panels with stitching going towards the edges).

what colors would you recommend?

I think our light gray is the closest match, but some people like the cream better. Overall, for dove interiors I'd suggest trying it out firsthand and getting our samples. Half of the cost of samples (which is $10 for all of them!) is reimbursed if you follow up with an order.

I think our BEIGE leather will be the closest match. However, it won't be perfect and you may not like it (it's a matter of personal taste really). Which leaves us with two options:

1. If you want to play it safe, go with black with beige thread. This will match for sure (the area occupied by the thread is so small that even if the thread color is not a perfect match, it won't be noticable at all).

2. Or get our color samples and decide for yourself. They cost $10 for all of them and you get $5 back if you decide to order at a later date.

Actually, so was I. The center console (shift boot, brake boot, armrest cover) does get a break in the sun pretty often - depending on which way you park the car. In Texas I imagine the dash barely ever gets any shade. I'd guess 4 months on the dash would be like 2 years in the cockpit of the car. Unless you drive a convertible and the top is always down, of course. :)
