did bmw eliminate the diagnostic port in the engine bay? is that why u need the AB03 adapter for 01-03 models? does the ABO3 work for 04-05 models too?

Yes, that is what happened. They use the OBD connector now. The AB03 connector will work for most 04-05 but Peake does not have an official list yet. Hope this helps.

If you just have the 01-03 model, you just need the FCXII-16, (you do not have to buy the FCX II-U)
