You're going to have to try and isolate the rattle. I would get some Peel & Seal and add it to the underside of the deck. See if the helps. If it's still present, pull the deck surface and Peel & Seal that too.

dynomat bro! this happens to everycar when subs are added, your gonna have to start stripping things down and covering everything with dynomat to stop the rattle (will also make it sound better too)

Well I can tell you that your biggest problem is your setup. What I mean and I can bet is that your sub fires into the trunk and is not sealed and the backwave is killing you. Best setup on the e34 and e36's is to seal a sub box to the rear seat and fire it through the ski hole. Making sure that it is air tight. Allowing no back wave. Example...if it is done right you should be able to have all the doors and moon roof closed and open your trunk while your system is bumping hard at say 3/4 volume and hear no change is db.

Now if you want RICE go ahead and just buy a cookie cutter box and stick it in your trunk and no matter what you'll have more rattles that a 6 month old shaking the cat.

My 2 Cents

very nice set-up Dogger i must say

well looks like your a KICKER type of guy huh!

i must be doing something wrong here, because i want to get rid of my L7(very first Gen) sub i have, it sounds really awful, like braapphh braapphh.

could it be am only running about 300 RMS?
i have a cheapo Kenwood 800 watts MAX, so 300 sounds right
i also have an old ORION Cobalt 2100, should i switch??

i heard these square subs NEED A LOT o POWER, am i underpowered or is it blown, or just the way they sound

well thanks for giving me ideas, kinda just wanted to throw something in there, and not myself into another project

thanks again
