Hey guys..
Ive got just about all the parts for my auto-5spd swap, and figured out all the wiring.. Only questions i have left have to do with the DMV and Insurance...

Do i need to notify the DMV of any changes?? I go to public inspection stations, would there be a problem if i go for inspection and its a 5spd and the vin says its an auto? Would I need to fill out any forms or anything?
Also!
Ill be switchin to NJMFG's ins whileits still an auto trans, do i have to notify them of the change?

DMV and insurance can go screw. the DMV doesn't care if your car is powered by a donkey with a carrot dangling in front of it as long as it passes safety and emission regulations.

the insurance company won't care and probably won't believe you since the vin you supply them for insurance belongs to an auto.

not saying you have to keep your lips shut but it will not help or hurt you to bother wasting your time letting either organization know.

you can go to the bmw and fill out a title correction form. this is only for your title when you try and sell it, other then that it doesnt matter..... i'm not sure about insurance but i would notify them, they will try anything not to pay out a claim if something was to happen.
