Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows what might be the cause for my ABS light and Traction control light to come up out of nowhere. read below...

I brought the car to be detailed last weekend and everything was fine until a few minutes later while driving home I hit the brakes and it felt as if I couldn't brake at all, the pedal felt empty but a little hard while pressing. Then 2 seconds later the brakes started responding as normal but the lights stood lighted up.

That same night I went out and noticed that the car was working normal without the lights (ABS & Traction Control) on. But then the next morning they came up again.

Have anyone experienced this before?

Thanks in advance,

Dannye

This is a write up I read a while ago maybe it will help.

Some time ago the discussion on the attached link was about the cause of certain warning lights - in my case, the ABS, DSC, and Brake - coming on as a group for no apparent reason. After the 3rd trip to the dealer, I think they've identified the cuplrit. The diagnostic computer kept saying the brake switch was on while driving but after aligning the switch rail and replacing the switch on two different visits, today I think they may have found the smoking gun. Seems the brake system pressure sensor on the back of the ABS control unit (see photo below) was showing undulating pressures (9-20 BAR) when there was zero pressure applied. This was telling the system I was driving with the brakes on and causing the warning lights to illuminate. New pressure sensor on order. Hope this helps others wandering about in the electronic desert.

Where is this photo you mentioned on the write up?
