Can anyone comment on the Goodyear F1's (the ones on Tirerack) as an upgrade from stock Dunlop 8089E's? I am interested in grip, road noise, overall feel, and tire wear.
Also, I live in LI and commute to NYC frequently, and I don't want these things picking up debris from the crappy roads. I will be mounting them on the stock M68 sport rims (staggared setup).
Any other tires I should consider?? Oh, and I did a lot of research on the Goodyear's, Michelins, and Pirelli's...

All I know is I just bought a pair for the rear. 265/35/18. They're rated #2 (how bad can they be) Plus they're on sale. Regular $258 now only $159. WOW. I got two for $349.22 shipped.

Personal favorite is the Goodyear Eagle F1-D3's.
Very quiet. Really grab the road.
Stop on a dime.
The best rain tire their is. IMHO.
Others in my club use and like them also.

Best rain tire I ever had. Maby it is my set up but they push real bad when I auto-x. Time to try something else. Great street tire though. ///J.T.///

I have the gs-d3's. Definately less grip than ps2s s0-3s in the dry... but they're pretty good in the wet.
