I have a 2001 740 i with the M-Parallels and was wondering what tires would be reccomended. Also, if I wanted to go with a wider tire than the stock, 255 40R18 on the rear and 235 50R18 on the front, what size could be used to avoid changing the overall rolling diameter, or at least minimizing the difference so the speedometer is not noticeably off?

I just bought Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S 215/40/17 and I'm really happy with them. I got stuck in a snow storm in Whistler on Saturday and thy worked very well. IMO they are the best all season tire. They perform like a summer in the wet/dry and if you're in a jam will get you through snow too...

Im also running 18" M-Parallels and I just got the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 These are 265/35/18 And look amazing. Also rated #2 on tirerack.com. Plus, they are on sale now. Regular $258 now only $159. I got 2 rears for only $349.22 shipped. Check it out. Ask for Oscar, extension 286

How would you compare the ride/grip of the Goodyear's as compared to stock? I was thinking of getting those for my 330 coupe, but not sure. Thanks.
