T1-S performance equal to everything you listed without the price.

Don't ever buy Michelin and support the French.

The T1-S is what i have now. They dont equal the SO-3's, but they are close.

If grip and performance in a street tire is what you mean by best, then the Kumho MX or Falken Azenis are the best.

This based on their solo2 national championship wins, not by reputation or price =)

After reading a lot of reviews it seems they are quiet, but become a little noisy as they wear. Here are some reviews if you care to check em out.

Not to hijack the post, but whats wrong with BFGoodrich, I got some a few months ago for $400 all around and they are the best tire I've ever had (Falken, yokohamas avs/dB/m105, Dunlop A20 or something, etc...)

My T1-S are working out great for me. Just broke them in and they are alot better than my previous ES100's or Pirelli Supersports.

Michelins.........no doubt........buy the French tyres or become a "ditchfinder" :lol

Seriously though......Michelins are probably the best for the road, you should only be driving below 7/10ths anyway I hope :nono

You'll notice the biggest difference on the road in wet grip between makes, and thats when you really need a good tyre, not in the dry!

Michelins.....Continentals.......Michelins.....Con tis.....Michies...Comtis....???? :eyecrazy

Best regards David

Just got my ps2's on,there is no comparison to these tires. There's a reason they win all the comparisons and their ratings are so high. So far after driving a few hundred miles on my car with them, and on some very high performance cars that belong to my friends equipped with ps2's i will never buy a different tire again.

Too bad, since the Kumho MX performs better for less money.

:)

My vote would be for the MX too. Most summer rated tires are more then enough for the street, and even the track for novice. Its not until you get invovled with street-tire autocross that you are going to regret not getting a super-gooey street tire. Any of the summer tires will probably work for you.

The MX's are awesome, the Azenis are awesome (but noisy and wear very quickly for the street.)

For a daily driver I agree with this. I'm not out running a slalom between the dash marks on the highway, so I wasn't looking for the best dry tire. I'm much more concerned with wet conditions. It gets old not being able to keep up with the flow of traffic in the rain.

the sidewall is just soft, I'm flipping a bitch and the tires rolls over itself, I have 40 in the rear and 37.5 in the front. When I had the tires put on they used factory specs and you could actually hear the tire rolling over. The side of the tire says don't excede 40psi, so I have no idea how I'm going to fix this
