I was wondering what are good H1 and H4 bulb replacements for the euro Hella's and what are their costs? I have no experience with these types of bulbs, but I have loads with the 9006 etc. type, so I need some help.

I was gona call up the local auto parts store for prices, but I just realised everything is closed.

Thanks.

OSRAM or Sylvania are the most common. If you can, get the higher wattage bulbs, makes a huge difference. Get the H4's in either 80/100 or 90/100 and get the H1's in 100.

Usually the higher wattage bulbs are a little more expensive, but not by much. They are about $10-$12 US each.

I got the PIAA HID's, best bulb I've ever owned, SUPER bright and they have the nice purple HID color to them. Since they are HID they are 60/55w but give off the amount of energy as a 130/110w bulb.

I am not sure if they are in MA.

Going to a higher wattage bulb wouldn't cook anything would it?

How much were your PIAA's, CJ?

PIAA's draw the same as stock bulbs. No relay needed. I use them in my '02 and they work great. PM me if interested. I own a wholesale aftermarket parts distribution warehouse in the San Francisco bay area and I'm a PIAA MWD.
