Does anyone know if the E30 speedo, tach, temp, and fuel gauges have the same circumferences as the E21's?

Matt I have been pondering this all along. I have been driving my sisters E30 and was like, hmmmmm these gauges would look alot better in my E21, plus the speedo hits 150mph :devillook

I have a feeling they are the same dimensions, but mounting them I have no idea, if I get bored during my spring break I'll rip it out and have a look.

No, the e30 speedo and tacho are slightly smaller. The temperature and fuel gauge are the same size, I think.

I think this may depend on year of manufacture. The early E30's might still have a cable driven speeod. But later years will probably have the hall effect pickup in the diff.

Hey Blitzed! On a slightly similar note. Where'd you get your tri-gage pod? The one that mounts on top of your dash? I know I'd like to get one for mine when the time comes. Thanks! :redspot

But it is a really nice piece that flows perfect with the dash and maches the grain.

The place that sold Cj the 3 gage holder, also sells custom race digital spedo and race tachs for the e30.

And there have been people who have fit e30 325i dashes into the e21.
Just not for me.

If it was on Ebay, that was me. There is someone on ebay germany that is auctioning/selling the chrome rings for the e21. I think they are asking for something like Euro49.99 + postage.

Is it model specific? Meaning am I looking for a supplier that provides aftermarket stuff for E21's? Or maybe I'll heist a shot of yours and see what I can find to match it.....

It is model specific to the E21 since it flows right into the instrument cluster, I would look at ebay.de for an Alpina version. I won one but it was cracked and the pieces warped since it sat for so long. The Alpina version is a 2-piece unlike the one I have that is only 1 piece.

Yeah I found your post when you first got it so I went to BMP and checked it out. Price aint too bad. I havent seen the Zender one but I like the looks of this one. I did see one go on Ebay about a week or so ago but I missed it. Don't remember what it went for. Somewhere in the 40's I think.
