I tried searching extensively, but didn't find my answer...I have a 99 M3 with HK sound. I need to find a diagram for the preamp harness going from the HU to the amp. Basically, I'm adding a pair of subs and want to tap the signal and remote wires coming from the headunit. I'm hoping to be able to wire up everything in my trunk and not have to worry about running wire from the front of the car back, but I need someone to identify which wires are the rear speakers signals and ground, and which is the remote wire (based on what I've read so far, it'll be a thin white wire).

I'd really appreciate anyone that can help me out.

The white wire is the remote turn on lead.

Run a "search" for the E36 wiring diagram, it's in here somewhere.

Believe me, I did try to search for it. The only thing I found was a scan out of the Bentley manual that shows the harness and wiring for at the headunit. I suppose I could try to look at the wires at the headunit and then just tap to the same color wires at the amp, but I was looking for something more definitive. An actual diagram at the amp would be preferable...
