Until a week ago, my radio worked perfectly, as did my inside door activated light. (The one above the drivers seat, on the right hand side of the car, you know, that light that comes on when you open the door). I smelt a small bit of electric burning smell, now neither works. I checked the wiring to the radio (which was wired fine) and I checked the bulb in the door (which works fine in the opposite door light holder). There is now 3volts running through the radio wiring, instead of 12v. Everything else in the car works perfectly... EXCEPT the radio and door light.
Any ideas? What might I be able to do? Suggestions, anyone, thanks.

3volts...did u get the rite wire?

3 volts between red and brown, which were at 12 volts at one stage, before the odd smell and no more radio working.

did you modify your car at any time before this happened or remove any panels? Sounds like you pinched a wire somewhere and it crossed with your light wire, or vice versa. since you traced your wires, I dont know if this will help, but good luck anyway!
