the 3 pin harness for the cd changer (i think it's for the power) was cut when i bought the car (97 540i).

does anyone have a wiring diagram for this 3 pin harness? even a pic of it connected to a cd changer or adaptor would be great.

i'm installing an alpine s634 cd changer with a blitzsafe adaptor and i need the pin outs for the 3 pin harness.

i've search on the internet/forums and couldn't find anything. called the local dealer and they don't even sell this.

please help. thanks

In my 1999 M3, there are two harnesses for the OEM cd changer.

One is six pins in the trunk, and 10 pins on the back of the radio. This thick cable carries the left and right audio signals only.

The 3 pin harness has:
Brown wire: Ground
Red wire with white stripe: 12 volts always on.
Yellow wire: Data
