I have decided to go with a Zender rear valance/spoiler. I took off the us bumper and have the two shocks sticking out. If I compress the shocks to their full extent will it allow me to fasten the rear valance to it? The Zender spoiler usually covers a euro bumper assembly, but what I was thinking of doing was compressing the shocks and welding a bar accross the two to fasten the spoiler to?? Any ideas?

I would not mess with the shocks, just fab some mounts similar to what I do for the front. The cross brace would be quite easy.

I added that apron to my car, but I switched over to a euro bumper at the same time, I used some angle iron and welded up mounting brackets and braces to attach to the factory bumper shock mounts, the mounted the bumper and added the apron

I would leave the rear shocks alone too...well, actually out of the car completely. If you are going to weld things, you might as well weld that support directly to the guide rails for the rear bumper shocks. Just remove the bumper shocks (two bolts each) and then weld directly to the rear of the frame (those guide rails). You can attach the apron to that welded on piece.
BTW, THIS is why you don't want to run without any bumper on a US car. Just looks WRONG!!!!

He is talking about the over bumper apron, which would not require a euro bumper, not the under bumper apron. I wouldn't use the shocks either, they're heavy. Don't weld to the frame of the car, bolt your brackets/home made bumper on so it can be removed if need be. I would wait until you have your apron, then take measurements to make your "bumper".

I have it, the car is in the body shop now. We're working on some type of fabricated bumper to fasten the cover to. There just happens to be a welder accross the street, lucky me. :)
