In Alabama at 10am this morning, I got a speeding ticket for 91 mph in a 65 mph zone. Fcuk!

This is my first moving violation. My luck had to run out sometime. I live in Maryland.

Do Alabama points interchange with Maryland?
What is the fine for this violation? I don't know until I call the magistrate on Monday.
Does it help to go to court in Alabama?

I got a ticket for the exact same thing a few years ago. I think I paid between $150-200. I don't remember. As far as lawyers go, I have no idea. I would think that any ticket, no matter where you receive it, would go on your driving record. Any updates?

hmmm... depends. i received a bunch of tickets last year, but most of them were out of state and didnt affect my record. i remember getting a speeding ticket in rhode island and the cop told me my insurance would never see it. i'm not sure if the DMV has received it though. but in MS we dont have points system so it doesnt matter....

I didn't know that MS didn't use the points system. That would have saved me a lot of grief when I was younger if Alabama was like that. :devillook :shifty
