chasmanbmwfan 03-19-2005, 01:05 AM I'm thinking about a vanity plate for the P-Car. Here are some I've come up with. If you have any good suggestions, please post them. If you want to check them for availability in Utah, here's the link.https://secure.utah.gov/pps/pps

This is great!! (Mr. Molloy and I are brothers of the bar).
I was also thinking C FORE S in deference to my love for golf.

Nope. but C4SKYR works. What do you think about that? Not as elegant as before, but still a possibility.

This is tempting! However, Cameron is right. This appears on the application: Utah Code §41-1a-411 allows the Division to refuse requests "that may carry connotations offensive to good taste and decency or which would be misleading."
Wonder who gets to render moral judgment on all the submissions. Interesting job -- having a really dirty mind must be a job requirement.

Good idea except that most patent attorneys are total geeks -- so why advertise it?
I think I'll submit C FORE S and hope they can do the spacing well. The form has seven spaces and I am only occupying six. Unless they can play the spacing a little it will look dumb:
CFORES, C FORES, CFORE S clearly don't work. I think I'll put a little note in with the application and ask them not to process it unless they can get the spacing right.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

Chas, I doubt they will adjust the spacing for you. but it's worth a try. :dunno Also, the form ask for three choices. I only put two in mine when I recently submitted and got lucky on the first.
The DMV certainly has become more efficient lately. I submitted by application and had the plates mailed to me in a week and a half.
Good luck
Johnny has lost 345 da points for not showing up for breakfast. :stickoutt
You did gain a few for reprisentin' for us at the BMWCCA meet, but not enough to cover your loss. Angel still remains in good graces, both for going to the meet and puting up with you. :biglaughb

Weird to be modding a car in front of a car club and not have anyone ask what you where doing.

I only have one choice. I put a note in saying that if they can't do the spacing right, not to process the application. I'll let you know what happens.

They just did not seem to care. My car was on the lift when they arrived and we were finishing putting hte diff in.
For the last part I was in the car rasied up just watching them all mill around ... and no one walks over to even look at what is being done, let alone ask about anything.
The problem is, we are gearheads that like BMWs.
chmdrm 03-20-2005, 07:13 PM But don't you have to be at least part gearhead to join BMWCCA?

345 Points is a bit excessive. I will submit a writ of challenge to JB for this decision. Im sure it will be granted when JB hears that I passed out dA cards at the WBMWCCA.
Now, to shed some light on the WBMWCCA. In taking the time to be there and to listen to the hours upon hours Josh from Eurosport has comitted to the TS design, I have a whole new respect for him and the TS project. I am not the only one there that left there in AAHWW. My hat goes off to Josh M and his project.
There are many reasons why I joined the WBMWCCA. The monthly "Roundel" magazine filled with great BMW articles and so forth, and the dealer discount on parts has paid for itself too. As far as the members, everyone I have met thus far has been very nice. I'm sure some people have probably come to a dA meet or even yet come to the SW forum and said they exact same thing, "hmmm, interesting or lame".
To this date, I attended my first Lapping days in Pahrump and I can give thanks to the CCA for that. I look forward to more meets with them too.
I will however say that some more meets, more chat, and more BMW talk amongst the group would be a nice improvement. Maybe I can, or maybe I cannot do anything about that.
This is the end of my post.
chmdrm 03-20-2005, 07:47 PM I'm not saying that they are not nice folks and I had fun at the car clinic I went to.
Just totally strikes me as odd that someone would be a member of a BMW car club, show up at a BMW shop for a tech session, and then not be interested in a group of people modding a BMW right in front of you.

Maybe you initimdated them with your Monsters Inc. appearance. :stickoutt Or maybe they had no idea what you were doing, modding or fixing. I dunno.
Who knows. I can only speak for myself.
