I have my hands on a signed buyers order to get the second M3 available at a local dealer -- at MSRP! I can spec it out however I want about two months before it's born. I can't wait.

I just hope I can afford the car when it gets here. (I can now, but 18 months is a long way in the future.) I'll be ready for a fresh M3 by fall of next year and this M3 sounds like a nice upgrade from the E36. So to speak.

One local dealer said I could get the first one at their dealership, but then they dicked me around and tried to get me to agree to a $395 delivery prep and $140 for floor mats. So I found another dealer that presented zero obstacles. Four hundred plus HP sounds pretty sweet.

It's signed by the dealership and I have a handwritten thank you note from the sales rep. If they screw with me it will be a surprise.
