I have a few quarts of brake fluid just sitting around the garage...

What can/should I do with them?

Since brake fluid is some nasty stuff, I do not want to pour this in the backyard. What would be the most responsible way to handle the disposal or recycling of this fluid?

Mix with a bunch of "Absorball" or other oil absorbant material and toss in trash can.

take it to a local shop, they'll take care of it. or you can take it to the city's chemical disposal place.
