Anyone have the Rieger front bumper/spoiler on a black or dark blue E34?
I am considering ordering one (6 to 8 week delivery from Germany through AMI in T.O.) but have not seen a lot of pics of them on dark 5er's. My E34 is Blue, thinking of Black colour change though. Will it look OK with stock rear and rocker setup? (they may come in time, but for now just want to do the front)
Post pics please.
Thanks....here is a very nice white one I found on the internet...

I think I calculated 500 for the bumper. Not sure about shipping. The exchange rate sucks. Its costs close to $2 to every $1 Do you have a link for

Their price has shipping included? Be careful because there are alot of extra hidden fee's when you import stuff. I had to pay $166 to get a zeemax spoiler through customs and another $50 to deliver it to my door. Ive ordered small stuff through bmtown.com and it arrived at my PO. Box with no hassle. Unfortunatly I dont think they would send a bumper to a po box. Have you corresponded with AMI about shipping and such?

I looked at these bumpers before and there was always something that screamed "RIIICCCEEE" :confused . I don't think that the Rieger front B. looks good on a E34(unless you get a intercooler behind it). That big mouth with nothing behind it makes me think at those hideous Honda body kits. And so does the rear. I know Rieger is made in Germany, but that does not mean that it has to look good.
Anyone else?

The fact that you can get the same bumper for the E30 and its a E39 look makes it unapealing. It is however, a perfect bumper for a intercooler setup.

Rear is kinda funky, but allows nicely for dual exhaust.

That is true, but not my style.
I would go for one of those add on lip spoiler, I think it's called DTM front spoiler. The one that goes a little down and then towards the front of the car.

not exactly. It doesn't have the corner flares.
The one I am talking about is lower down, and it has like a void in the middle. I would say it is lower on the sides and in the middle it has like a cut-out for about 1 foot. I mostly seen this on e30's, and rarely on E34's (on german websites)

I will look for a picture.

Same size. I had Yokohama AVS but have since switched to Toyo Proxes FZ4's. Longer life, great performance and not as bad to the wallet.

Nice car. I've seen the pic of your car w/ the led's on......maybe @ dtmpower?

You should be able to make real splitters work on the e34's bumper. I am thinking of making some custom ones from CF.

Yes...rice hmmm, it looks more like the newer bimmer styling to me, thought it really cleaned up the front end...still looking for 'My Bimmer style' I guess...might wait until after I put on some new shoes and then make some choices. My bottlecaps might be blerring my vision

I said that it loks RICE is that it looks rice on the E34. I know it's like the E39 M5 bumper, but that bumper looks good on the E39, not on the E34.

 I am going to go with M5 brake ducts plain, simple and sexy and easily obtained. :buttrock
Now I just have to figule out what I want to do with my rocker panels (I like the M5 look)??? I understand the 1995 540i (E34) came with M series rocker panels....but they are not to be found as a replacement part on the internet? What else is close in look? Does BMW still make them as parts?

i'm assuming you're doing the 540i brake ducts, because the e34 m5 has completely different bumpers front and rear.

all '95 e34's came with m-tech sideskirts.

Yes, seems like a good project (as per the E34 website) When I first got my E34 I wanted the M5 look but exact kits are not availible. Found out that the brake ducts are stock at BMW for 1/2 of the reiger setup with the splitters...and is what I wanted in the first place!
I am having a set of complete rocker panels welded in from a donor car with no rust but one hell of a front end dent! So my rockers will be new again and I want to dress them up a little...but with what? Are the 1995 E34 rockers a "trim piece" that is added? or is it not removable? Guess I will keep an eye open for a 1995 donor E34 as well.
As for the rear, any suggestions would be great.

i agree, i really like the 540i brake ducts.

the m-tech side skirts go on top of the the rockers. there is also a trim pieces that go on the doors to complete the look. every once in a while you see them for sale. the ones off the e34 m5 are the exact same pieces.

Rieger Lip and Splitter. (Note in the second pic I changed the brightness in the pic so you could see it, it doesn't look crappy like that.)

$429 is really overpriced I think. Try MMS motorsport or if you are patient (they take a long time) Kest Tuning.

The riger lip and slitter does look great...I think I'm going with M5/540i brake ducts at 1/2 the cost and take the savings and spend it on an EAT chip....MORE POWER and great looks (IMO) for the same as the Rieger 2 piece set up, and all is in stock, no waiting 6 to 8 weeks :redspot

The Rieger set looks so amazing, but the $$$$
Gamite says the M5 side skirts and bottom of door molding is about $1000 CDN
Yes, paint and skirts would finish it right.
Does anyone make a splitter for a stock 540i setup with the brake ducts?

Alan

No one that I know of makes anything that will fit with 540 ducts.

I bought my Rieger from KHY Motorsports who are now Kest Tuning. They take a long time because all parts are shipped from germany through US customs to Kest then to you. But their prices are the lowest. I know the prices went up since I bought the parts but I think I paid not too much over 300 bucks.

Landed cost to Canada (AMI, 6 to 8 week delivery) is 428US (imported from Germany direct to Canada) If I went with the Kest Tuning cost of $300US, added shipping costs to Canada and customs import duty/ brokers fee I cannot imagine it being less than $428US by the time I get the parts up here (still have to pay additional 8% GST as well) verses the BMW brake duct kit with brackets, off the shelf is $300 Canadian dollars including and all of our stupid taxes. I will need to modify my current bumper to install them, but there would be install time for the Rieger kit as well. I do like the Rieger kit and was going to spend even more on their full bumper kit...but it is a 14 year old car and I want to do other mods (EAT chip and lets not forget about getting some new shoes for her...the bottle caps are making me crazy :eyecrazy ) as well as keep up the maint. issues (looking to do rear wheel bearings, thrust arms and paint soon too)
