View Full Version : which wideband a/f to buy? kosta 03-15-2005, 02:22 PM i'm looking for a stand alone a/f wideband gauge would you guys recommend the aem uego? the fjo? or the plx m250 w/gauge ///3oris 03-15-2005, 02:33 PM Out of those choices I'd definitely recommend the FJO. Boris kosta 03-15-2005, 02:34 PM are there any others? and why the fjo does it have a good rep? Juker008 03-15-2005, 02:50 PM Ela Kosta, Barea to AEM UEGO. 52mm gauge, real nice. Juker008 95RogueM3 03-15-2005, 03:09 PM Zeitronix. Concentric190 03-15-2005, 03:11 PM FJO is the shit. You can run leadded gas for a while and not mess up the sensor . kosta 03-15-2005, 03:17 PM I'd rather have a round gauge so i can stick in the the sunglass pocket area why would anyone want to run leaded gas? wouldn't that harm the car? Spencer 03-15-2005, 03:29 PM I just got a zeitronix setup in my car and it works great. Price cant be beat either. HyperHoHo 03-15-2005, 03:32 PM I'd rather have a round gauge so i can stick in the the sunglass pocket area why would anyone want to run leaded gas? wouldn't that harm the car? Just to let you know, you can choose from a few different kits from FJO. You can get the basic kit with the rectangular display, the kit with datalogging capability but does not come with a display, and a kit with a 52mm gauge, which is the one you probably want to get. FJO is a bit more on the expensive side of widebands, but they really do work and are very robust. The sensor is badass like Concentric said, but on the expensive side. I only run leaded gas in my Supra. Ocasionally, I'll run 100-104 unleaded race gas, and barely will I run pump gas. I do this cause my WG spring is set at 22psi and I usually run around 28psi on the street. Your simple answer for the reason to run leaded fuel is resistance to detonation. Sooner or later you will have to replace your O2 sensor and wideband sensor from the lead though. You will know because everything will be coated in white...concentric knows. :D WCM3 03-15-2005, 03:41 PM I just bought the PLX M250 w/gauge. I will be installing it this weekend. It seems like a very nice piece. Can't wait till I install it... -Mike kosta 03-15-2005, 03:43 PM can you post a pic of it it looks like a nice piece ///Qbert 03-15-2005, 07:14 PM i'm looking for a stand alone a/f wideband gauge would you guys recommend the aem uego? the fjo? or the plx m250 w/gauge I went with AEM.
