I'm thinking about setting up a meeting here in Columbia, SC. They built a new shopping center near me, and there's a lot of unused parking lot there at night. Any suggestions on how to approach the manager about using his lot to have a bunch of cars and people there?

Also, would people be interested in coming to this meet? It'd be easy to get to, and there are a few roads nearby that have a lot of twisties, so it's not just gonna be a "stand around a parking lot and BS" meet.

I posted the same feeler on DTMPower.net, but I wanted to get BF.C members in on it too, since y'all seem more sane than those guys on DTM.

Depends on what I can get the manager to agree to. If I can drum up enough interest, I'd like to make it a regular deal, meeting more than once. There are plenty of big show and shine meets, but few weekly get togethers.

Kinda iffy. Not really as much feedback as I'd like. I was also thinking of setting up a cruise to South of The Border (just an idea on somewhere to meet.) That way both SC & NC crews can hang out.

Tonight. Meet up around 8. Hang out for a bit, then go eat. World Market parking lot, off Clemson Rd. right by the intersection with Two Notch Rd. (Northeast Columbia.)
Accessible from either I-77 or I-20.
From I-20 towards Florence, take the Clemson Rd. exit. Turn left and go towards the gas stations and stuff. Stay on Clemson Roda until you cross over Two Notch (#1). You'll see the parking lot right there on your left.

From I-77 towards Charlotte, take the Killian Rd. exit, and turn right. Thru the red light, cross the tracks, then left at the stop. Take the next right (this is Clemson Rd.). Continue past Hard Scrabble Rd. and proceed until you see the lot on your right.

It was a beautiful night...wish you were there. I'm going to do this again next month, so be warned. Hopefully there'll be a better turn out next time...this one was a little last minute with the details.

I couldnt Make it, Apperantly Now we have to give a 36hr notice to request to travel over 50miles. I really dislike this whole military life thing, But oh well

I'm trying to set up a get-together. It would be very helpful if anyone could offer suggestons as to roads to cruse, places to meet, etc. I'm up for getting a bunch of people together to do rides and such. Well I really hate this whole Military thing. I cant really just "run" away on the weekends. If something is planned out in advance I might, Just Might, Be able to make it. Im going to try to make HIN in Charlotte next weekend, But it all depends on the week.

Well, tonight it's raining. Well, it is at 7 o'clock at least. This is going to be the first meet, so I don't know how many people will show up. Hopefully next month is clearer. I'm still planning to get some wings at Carolina Wings on the corner of Clemson and Hard Scrabble...in about an hour. Meet there if you come, or go out to the lot at 9.

That was fun. Went to eat some wings, then out to the lot, then to a movie. Enjoyed the company. Enjoyed seeing two nice Mustangs. We'll do this again soon, but I'll find a different location since the security guard didn't like us being there. Buzz killer.

For the next one, I'll be taking suggestions on where to hold it. Just a place to hang out on Friday nights. I'm thinking about heading to Charleston or somewhere, suggestions?

id love to join up the next one. had my 91 318is for a week and love it have met some awesome bmw guys "gunther in taylors" and mark in spartanburg. but they both run shops. well mark is moving soon. but realy want to meet up with some bmw's and hopefully someone can give me tips for when i redo my suspension

Carolina Wings sucks, you should go to Icy's Sports Bistro on two notch, thats where I work. Wings are way better, and our waitresses are hotter- Graham ( iwas the guy in the jeep at the first meet)

Went out last night to Harbison Blvd. Not bad. Had a run against SRT-4. Pretty much neck and neck. Lots of cars out ther. Only saw i Bimmer tho. Going again next Sat. Who wanna meet?
