After a little discussion with some of you guys we have a name for ourselves:

BMW Motorsports of Oklahoma (Or short: BMW MofO)

Now that we have a name, it's time to start getting some stuff together. The first things that come to mind are a website and tshirts.

The website (bmwmotorsportsofok.com):

I've registered the above domain name and will start working on the web design. Work has taken up a lot of my free time lately so it is going to take a low priority. If you're interested in helping please let me know at the upcoming Tulsa meet.

The website is going to be a central source of information about our group and our activities. We will have a calendar of activities so that we can keep track of everything since right now it's easy to forget. The site will also have a little info about each of us and our bimmers, and will hopefully help in bringing some new people on board.

Tshirts:

We can also get tshirts now that we have a name. I posted a while back about tshirt designs and everyone seemed to be in favor of the design I posted. There was one poster who was going to post another design, but they never came back. So, here is our design:

It will be screen printed in white letters and will be available on dark shirt colors (black, navy blue, dark gray, etc.). The pricing for the shirts will be:

His: $12
Hers: $18
Long Sleeve: $18

Go ahead and let me know if you'd like any of these. I'll only be taking orders until April 3rd for this batch so order 2 or 3. I will be handing them out at the next Oklahoma City meet which isn't scheduled yet but will be towards the end of April.

If you guys in SLC want some I'll be happy to ship them to you :D

I stopped by the screen printer after work today and they were closed. I'll stop by tomorrow to see how having 2 locations will affect the price...

As far as paying, yeah, if you're in the area then just pay me when you get the shirt at the next Oklahoma City meet. If I have to mail it because you can't make it to that meet or because you're from outside the area then I guess I'll take paypal, although I really hate that service. I'd also take a check or money order in that case. Whatever is easiest for you guys.

Anyway, with the exception of Jed, I am so far disappointed with the response from Oklahoma... We have more interest from outside the state...

I can't get them done that fast. I still have to order the shirts online and then get in line at the local print house. I was planning on ordering the shirts on April 4th and figure it could take up to a week to have them printed once they arrive. I'd order them sooner but want people to have a chance to get the orders in...

I'll be adding a sweatshirt and maybe a couple other shirts between now and when I place the order.

Local Oklahoma people can just pay me when I deliver the shirts. I figure I'll get them handed out at the next meet towards the end of April in Oklahoma City.

I'll get a few extra made up in case some others decide they want them...

As far as the artwork, I have to submit the stuff in a vector type format. So, whatever you have to do that should be fine (freehand, illustrator...).

I'll tell you a thought I had for it last night... I was watching Pulp Fiction, and at the beginning of the movie they have the definition for Pulp and for Fiction at the very beginning of the movie. We could put a definition for BMW and a definition for MofO on the back of the shirt. Idea just stemmed from the movie... We'd just have to come up with the definitions...

Anyway, let me know what you think...

EDIT: If you can't provide the artwork in a vector format, I'll take it in any other format and convert it. Just keep in mind that it has to be a single color design because of the silkscreen process...

The front design is so clean and simple, its hard to mess with perfection, but how does this look for a back BMWMOFO logo......

Saturday is coming quickly, the weather is holding out but looking cold. I would suggest a sweatshirt and maybe some gloves to drive in, the high is supposed to be in the mid 50's in Tulsa but the low that night is supposed to be around 31 degrees! Once the sun goes down it will get cool quick.

That's why I was mentioning that some of the stuff on that site will not work. Ribbed stuff in particular. When it stretches, it creates vertical looking lines in the print... This should be ok. I'll have one run through as a test. I've used that shirt for other stuff in the past without a problem so this should be ok.

What do you think about the tshirt design? The new design looks good on a regular tshirt, but on the "her shirt" it may be too heavy. We might have to stick with the original for that one...

Is she waiting for them to be printed, or does she want to see the layout after it is recomposed? I'll post the recomposed image later tonight or tomorrow... I'm converting the graphic of your bimmer into vector format in Illustrator right now... could take a while. Once that's done I'll get the new layout posted for "hers" shirt...

We're still working on the design. We talked about it some at the meet and I'll post a new design sometime this week. Worst case we can use the current design with the Jed's 318ti and I'll add a trunk :rofl

The new design that we talked about will have more than one car.

The Tulsa meet was great. We're trying to come up with some stuff to do in OKC aside from parking and taking pictures... Some sort of activity. We'll work on finding something and start a thread.

The next meet will be in OKC around the end of April or the beginning of May. Hope you can make it!

I'm open to suggestions... if you want to do a design and send it to me that'd be great. The more options the better. Just seemed that the other thread died without any proposals.

Anyway, I'm swamped at work so I haven't been able to do the design for the shirt yet. I'll probably work on it while I'm out of town over the weekend and have it posted next week.

Any help would be great. Just keep in mind that we're going to be limited to one or two dye colors and that I'll need this in a raw vector format (no stroked lines, just solids).

Either way, we need to get a design and stick with it. I don't want to keep switching the design around on the people who have ordered unless they are completely for it.
